Professional Development

Clinical Supervision provides opportunities for professionals to enhance their practice, gain insight, validate what they are doing well, create learning opportunities, and explore complex client work.

Leshaun has provided practice supervision in multiple settings which include:

  • care and protection work in child protection agencies
  • paediatric social work across all specialities at Starship Children’s Hospital
  • child and adolescent mental health teams
  • behavioural specialist service
  • a specialist organisation that supports individuals who are autistic and have ADHD

This has occurred in one-to-one and group formats either in-person or online.

There are limited supervision spaces per year

Inservice Training and Professional Development Workshops:
Understanding autism, ADHD, AuDHD and other neurodivergence is becoming more of a necessity for all professionals due to an increase in the number of people being confirmed as neurodivergent. Educators, Allied Health workers, nurses, GPs, primary health care workers, and mental health workers regularly interact with diagnosed or suspected neurodivergent people.

Regardless of the profession, practising in a neuroaffirming way requires knowledge, insight and application in the respective setting.
